Since life has it ups and downs, most people will experience difficult times at some point in their lives. If coping skills that were successful in the past are no longer working for you in the face of current challenges, then therapy may be a good option. Knowing when you can handle things on your own as opposed to when it is time to reach out for some extra support and guidance can make all the difference.

Sometimes creating satisfying relationships with others begins with creating a healthy relationship with yourself. Individual therapy can help you gain a deeper understanding of your thoughts, feelings and behaviors so that you can change patterns that prevent you from living a fulfilling life. My primary goal is to create a supportive and trusting environment in which you will feel comfortable to share your unique story and explore change. Working together, we will define specific therapeutic goals and obstacles that may make it difficult for you to reach them. We will also identify areas of strength and resilience to help you overcome challenges. I will assist you to work toward a deeper understanding of yourself, which will positively affect different areas of your life.
